"In the stillness between two waves, a condition of complete simplicity costing no less than everything... All shall be well and all manner of things shall be well."

For thousands of years traditions of healing, medicine and wisdom have been handed down across all cultures. I would like to offer a perspective on this subject.
We are all fundamentally the same. We are all expressions of universal creativity in human form. Our underlying nature is a unified field of consciousness, but each one of us expresses a unique form and life process. Is a wave separate from the ocean? Yes, and no, depending upon one's perception.
As we acquire understanding of our true nature and the world around us we release unhealthy patterns and gain greater health and vitality. This is a unique process for each person and requires a genuine commitment to oneself. Positive changes are achieved with careful attention to our thoughts, feelings, relationships, diet, lifestyle, exercise, work and sleep.
All our experiences are interconnected. For example, our emotional and psychological processes affect each other and travel through the nervous and hormonal systems to be expressed in our physical health. Profound or long held beliefs and feelings cause a significant change in our physical state. It is equally the case that deep or sustained changes in our physical health cause a real change in our emotional and psychological state.
We always have choices that can influence our health, although sometimes an illness or dysfunction cannot be altered easily and we may have to accept the condition while doing everything possible to relieve pain and discomfort. We can benefit from both traditional and modern understanding by exploring the integration of this combined pool of knowledge.
If we establish strong foundations for health with a balanced approach in the everyday world we may also choose to develop our self awareness through traditional practices such as meditation, prayer, visualisation and ethical conduct. Increased self awareness requires a corresponding integration of expanded consciousness and higher frequencies of energy.
Ultimately, as we experience compassion for ourselves and others we renew our health and transform the world around us. This is the spiritual process that reveals our deeper life purpose.
